E-Commerce in the Developing World

1. What are the drivers to the adoption of sell-side e- commerce by businesses in developing countries?
The Adoption of Sell-side E-commerce in Developing countries will be a great development. The drivers of sell side e-commerce will be the cost and how much customer will be able to save with the opportunity to research the best price. There will also be more options available to the customer which will also drive the market and create more demand. I believe that continued growth will continue its will just take a while to get the ball rolling. Savings from both the businesses and customers side as well. Customers will be able to save because they will have the opportunity to search different options and different companies. Companies or people selling products on-line will also save on costs like less people working for them. No need for store fronts which is a great for developing countries because some people are in remote areas so they can access the same products online. Content will also be a driver because it will allow for more information on products and services to customers so they will know or have a better idea of what they need and what product or services is appropriate for their needs.
Customization- different emails that can be sent out to certain customers based on past purchases. For example if there are new products that are available emails could be directly sent out to customers so they will have more knowledge and improve their business or lives.
Community- Will allow for developing country to stay connected and allow for more connect with friends and family. It will also allow for groups of people to discuss their products and services and allow for customers to discuss them.
